My name is Ray Duerden.

Now -

I'm 65 years young and live in Lytham St. Annes in Lancashire, England.  I retired from the aerospace industry in 1998.

I'm married with 2 children. My hobbies are golf and genealogy.

I play at Lytham Green Drive Golf Club were I am the Junior Organiser.

I'm a member of the Lancashire Family History and Heraldry Society and also a member of the Guild of One-Name Studies.

Born in Wallasey, Cheshire. (On the other side of the River Mersey from Liverpool)

Moved to Edgworth, Near Bolton. Started school at Edgworth Methodist Junior School.

Moved to live in a Council owned, prefabricated house in Bromley Cross, a little nearer Bolton.

My Brother Richard was born.

I passed my “11 plus” to both Bolton and Darwen Grammar schools but went to the Technical College in Darwen.

Moved back near Edgworth to live in the “Turton Conservative Club”.

Left school. Started 1st job as Builders Labourer.

 Started 2nd job in "Jellicoe's" garage.

Started work at Metropolitan Vickers Training School.

Moved to Lytham and started work at at A-Z Engineering (lasted 4 days).

Started work at English Electric (now BAE Systems).

Married Pat.

Our daughter Andrea born.

Our son Neil born.

Started work at Eurofighter GmbH., Munich, Germany

Retired and took up golf and genealogy

Achieved golfing ambition to get down to single figures.

Won my first "Major", The Presidents Prize.

Now down to 7 - set new goal of 5. (NOT LOOKING GOOD NOW, IS IT?)

Neil married Niki Irvine
